I’m trying to grow my Instagram following, so if you’re not following me, please head over here and do me that favor. I’m hoping by this time next month my followers will be up to 2,000. Can you help?

And just to give you a sample of the kind of things I share on Instagram, here are my top Instagram photos from last month.

This photo was taken two years ago while I was visiting Berlin for the very first time. I was there for a travel conference (ITB Berlin, the largest travel trade show in the world), and it was sunny for most of the time I was there. On the very last day, the snow came in. I’m heading back to Berlin in just a couple of days, and while there’s no snow in the forecast, who knows what can happen.

This next photo was also taken a couple of years ago in Yokohama, Japan. It was my second trip to Japan, this one taking me out to Mt. Fuji and the countryside. Japan is a fascinating country, rich in culture and history, and I look forward to going back there and exploring more.

Food makes for tough shots, especially on my phone, but this photo of the Bourbon Bacon Caramel popcorn (served at Whiskey Street in Salt Lake Ctiy, Utah) struck a chord. Although I messed up the actual posting of the photo (somehow entering it twice on Instagram), I’m blaming it on the food coma that resulted from this delicious snack.

In a delightful combination of flavors: Squatters Chasing Tail Golden Ale and Bourbon Bacon Caramel Popcorn.

The next two photos were taken while I was in New York last month. There was a little overnight snowfall, not enough to put a damper on our plans, but just enough to bundle up before going out for a walk. The first photo is from a late morning walk along the Highline. We started at the beginning and walked it down to the Meatpacking District, after working up an appetite for brunch.

The second photo was taken while out for an afternoon walk in Madison Square Park. The normally crowded park was pretty quiet, perhaps due to the snow and the blizzard warnings that were being issued.
